Georgian Armenians welcome Charles Aznavour

The world-famous singer Charles Aznavour, accompanied by Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan, visited on Wednesday Surb Echmiadzin church in Tbilisi, Georgia.

On Thursday, Charles Aznavour is scheduled to give a concert in Akhaltsikhe, where the Rabati historical complex has been restored and is to be re-opened.

Hundreds of representatives of Georgia’s Armenian community, led by Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Head of the Georgian diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, welcomed Charles Aznavour.

Georgia-based painter Tengiz Mikoyan, sculptor Levon Osipov and musician Levon Shahbazyan presented their works to the great singer.

An official supper was held at the Armenian Embassy in Charles Aznavour’s honor.
