Liturgy dedicated to Armenian’s Independence Day served in Armenian church in Damascus

A liturgy has been served in St. Sargis Armenian church in Syria’s capital Damascus by the leader of the Damascus Diocese of the Armenian Church Archbishop Armash Nalbandian.

The archbishop congratulated the attendees on the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence wishing welfare, strength and power to Armenia.

He also thanked Armenia for supporting Syrian Armenians on the difficult time and for hosting more than 450 Syrian Armenian young people in Armenia. The Archbishop also thanked the Armenian embassy to Syria that keeps its door open for Syrian Armenians.
