Armenian president receives world-famous pianist

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Friday the world-famous pianist Evgeny Kissin, who arrived in Yerevan on the occasion of the Yerevan Perspectives 12^th International Musical Festival.

The Armenian leader awarded an Order of Honor to the pianist for his great contribution to the development Armenian-Russian cultural relations and humanitarian aid to victims of the devastating earthquake in Armenia in 1988.

The Armenia people is grateful to all of its friends and is happy to host them, President Serzh Sargsyan said.

Mr Kissin thanked the Armenian leader for the award and warm words. He is also grateful to the organizers and sponsors of the Yerevan Perspectives 12th International Musical Festival.
