Armenian president attends opening of Vatche and Tamar Manoukian matenadaran

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his wife Rita Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian matenadaran at the Holy See of Echmiadzin.

The matenadaran has been constructed on the initiative of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, with the sponsorship of Vatche and Tamar Manoukians.

The matenadaran is designed to house three libraries and manuscripts, which will enable readers and scholars to make use of the religious works and literature on Armenian studies.
