Opening of Alley of Armenian Philanthropists slated for Oct 20

The opening ceremony of the Alley of Armenian Philanthropists will take place October 20 at Yerevan Oval Park. The alley has been created with the initiative of the Diaspora Ministry.

According to the Ministry’s press release, statues of devoted Armenians, symbols of philanthropy – Poghos Nupar, Alexander Mantashian, Alek Manoukian, Galust Gyulbenkian, Michael Aramyants, Hovhannes Lazarian – will be unveiled in the Alley.

Armenia’s Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and chairman of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Pertch Sedrakian will deliver opening speech.
