Armenian bordering village schools get new books (photos)

The school libraries of bordering Nerkin Karmiraghbyur and Aygepar villages of Armenia’s Tavush province got 150 books.

Bloger Karen Vrtanesyan learning of current situation in the libraries initiated the book gathering in early September.

Reporter Gohar Abrhamyan who has written about the condition of the village libraries told Tert.am that the library was damaged during the war and had no books there.

“The situation in Aygepar is better. There were 3,000 books but the majority of them are about Lenin and Marxism,” Abrahamyan said.

The journalist said the children were very happy to meet them and have already taken the books to read. Some 120 pupils are studying in Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village and 56 in Aygepar.
