Young Armenians win top prizes in Russian music contest

Young Armenian musicians have been awarded with top prizes at the annual Nutcracker International Television Contest in Russia, Tvkultura.ru reported.

The winners of this year’s event have been allowed to take part in the third round of the Russian State Symphonic Orchestra’s concert to be conducted by Jan Latham-Koenig (UK).

The laureates of Nutcracker-2012 have been honored with different awards and souvenirs, but the general prize is the Nutcracker statue sculpted by Mikhail Shemyakin.
