Holy Martyrs Armenian Church in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor to be restored, Catholicos of Cilicia says

His Holiness Catholicos of Cilicia Aram I stated that Holy Martyrs Armenian Church and Genocide memorial in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor damaged as a result of clashes will be restored.

According to the press release, hearing about the damage to Deir ez-Zor memorial complex, the Catholicos has immediately got in touch with National Primacy of Aleppo to clarify the amount of the damage.

It is clear that the memorial complex was not a target of attack and has been damaged as a result of bomb explosion near its territory.

The Catholicos said the complex will be restored after peace is re-established in the territory.
