Singer Flora Martirosyan to be buried in Armenia if family agrees

The government is waiting for Flora Martirosyan’s relatives’ consent to bring the singer’s body to Armenia, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture told Tert.am.

“The Armenian consul to the United States is now preparing the necessary documents. Only after a positive answer by the family can Armenia’s prime minister issue a decision for creating a government commission to organize the funeral service and the burial in Armenia,” said Alla Serobyan, adding that no official decision is available for now.

The renowned Armenian singer died in the United States on Tuesday. She was 55.
