Kate Winslet honored by Queen Elizabeth

The Oscar-winning actress, Kate Winslet, was today awarded a prestigious CBE honor by Queen Elizabeth II in a ceremony that took place at Buckingham Palace, E! Online reported.

The accolade was given for "services rendered to drama." Sounds about right to us.

"The sense of gravity is enormous and you very much feel you are being acknowledged by the whole country in a way," the 37-year-old said on receiving her honor.
