Parajanov’s Color of Pomegranate to be shown in Turkey

Turkey’s Armenian Culture and Support Union initiated an event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Sayat-Nova.

According to Istanbul-based Armenian newspaper Agos, the event is scheduled for November 25. During the event Sayat-Nova’s work will be presented and Sergey Parajanov’s The Color of Pomegranate film will be shown.

Last week Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Minister stated that they rate high the publication of works of different cultures.

“We are planning to publish a memorial book dedicated to great Armenian singer Sayat-Nova,” the minister said.
