Armenian church to be built in Ukraine’s Sevastopol

The municipal authorities of Sevastopol, Ukraine, are going to build an Armenian church in the city’s Yuri Gagarin Avenue, Anlitika.ua reported.

According to the Ukrainian news website, the construction will be situated next to the statue of the world’s first cosmonaut. The president of the Sevastopol National-Cultural Unions Association, Valeri Milodan has reportedly unveiled plans for opening a spiritual-cultural center adjacent to the place of worship.

A deputy head of the city’s Armenian community, Zoya Merkelova, was quoted as saying that the church’s chapel will be the first construction to be built.
