Eurovision 2013 tickets sell out in 22 minutes

Tickets to Eurovision 2013 final went on sale on Monday, with music aficionados snaffling up seats to the Malmö shows in a mere 22 minutes, The Local reports.

"We are pleased to be able to release tickets to this giant party before Christmas," Martin Österdahl, executive producer for the contest said in a statement. "Since the cheapest tickets don't cost more than €10, we give as many people as possible the opportunity to be a part of this treat in Malmö."

Tickets to a total of nine shows went on sale on Monday, including two dress rehearsals for each semi-final and the grand final, plus three live broadcasts.

Organizers explained that when cameras and cranes have been placed and the set design is finalized, more tickets will be available.

The contest will take place on the 14th, 16th and 18th of May in Malmö with rehearsals to be held the night before.
