Armenian Junior Eurovision band holds first rehearsal in Amsterdam

Compass Band, which is representing Armenia in this year’s Junior Eurovision, held its first rehearsal in Amsterdam on Wednesday. 

The band’s members, Davit, Abraham, Arshavir and Aram performed Sweetie Baby, asking for their loved one to smile and shine even on sad days, says a report on the 2012 Junior Eurovision’s official website.

The head of the Armenian delegation to Eurovision, Gohar Gasparyan, had earlier said that this year’s contest will be more focused on documentary episodes.

“We will try to differ from all, attracting everybody’s attention,” she said,

All the young singers, aged 13, are pupils of the Yerevan’s Chekhov school. With their director, Hrant Movsisyan, they have decided to imitate The Beatles on stage. The dress rehearsal is due on December 1, a day before the contest.

A collective song devoted to children’s rights will be performed by all the participants on the Amsterdam stage on the concert day.

“Break the Ice” is the slogan of Junior Eurovision 2012. The general design of the concert hall and the prize will be in line with the motto.
