Armenia’s Artik has separate Diocese

The regional church communities of Artik region in Armenia has been separated from Shirak Diocese and declared a new Artik Diocese, Holy See press service reports.

Archbishop Hovakim Manukyan has been announced the primate of the diocese.

Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II handed to the new primate the conduct of declaration of Artik Diocese wishing him fruitful service.

The event took place at the December 2 holy liturgy conducted by the Catholicos in the Holy See of St Etchmiadzin.
