Armenia’s National Cinema Center’s award giving ceremony slated for April 2013

Armenia’s National Cinema Center’s Hayak award ceremony is slated for April 16, 2013. In 1923 that day the decree about film has been adopted, Ruzan Bagratuni, spokesperson for the Armenian National Cinema Center told Tert.am.

In October the center’s Film Fall program was implemented envisaged for provinces, remote and bordering villages.

“Exclusively Armenian films were presented. October is considered a national film month and many people were coming. There were places where film showings had not been organized for years,” Ruzan Bagratuni said.

In November Armenia has become the 40th member of the European Audiovisual Observatory. The researches made by the establishment’s experts have significant role in the international arena and Armenia’s membership, Bagratuni said, will give an opportunity to the European specialists get necessary information and make analysis of the legal field.

“It is a single data base. It contains information about films from all over the world, about festivals, award ceremonies, short films, feature, animation,” she said.

Not being a film producer Armenia’s National Cinema Center provides financial assistance to Armenian film directors.
