Serzh Sargsyan congratulates State Academic Choir on 75th birthday

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has congratulated the State Academic Choir on its 75th anniversary.

In an address, the president praises the choir’s role in performing the music and raising the reputation of such merited representatives of the Armenian spiritual music as Komitas, Makar Yekmalyan, Christapor Kara-Murza, Armen Tigranyan, Aram Khachatryan, Arno Babajanyan and Alexaander Harutyunyan.

“It is enough to note that the choir has performed 813 concerts, fascinating audiences of thousands with the power of its art. No wonder that the honorable title ‘national’ was granted to the choir ahead of its 75th jubilee, in appreciation of the path it has passed.”

Cordially congratulating the Armenian State National Academic Choir on the 75th anniversary of its inception, I wish it more and more success, inexhaustible energy and an uninterrupted creative life,” reads the address.
