Turks read Koran in Armenian church?

A mystic ceremony in an Armenian church of Turkey’s Chanakale town reportedly finished with a reading of the Muslim Koran.

According to the Dogan news agency, mystical Sufi ceremonies are occasionally held in the 17th century construction which later turned into a cultural center after (the Armenians left the place).

A great number of guests were reportedly invited to the ceremony. Speaking at the event, the provincial governor Gungor Azim Tunan, highlighted the need of building more such centers in the town.

“We have a rich cultural heritage, so such institutions and people will help us recognize and improve ourselves,” he said.
