Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks to Produce Gorbachev film

HBO Films has signed a deal with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks to produce a film about Mikhail Gorbachev, the former president of the Soviet Union.

According to the Den of Geek, Gorbachev himself will serve as a consultant/source for the project, which is tentatively titled Gorbachev.

Gorbachev, the first and last president of the Soviet union (1988-1991), is known worldwide for his efforts to help and the Cold War.

The movie is written by John Shiban (Hell on Wheels) and executive produced by DiCaprio, Hanks, Goetzman, Keith Addis and Jennifer Killoran.
