National Gallery music festival starts in Armenia

The Gallery of Arts cultural fund, with the sponsorship of the VivaCell-MTS mobile operator and Armenia’s Ministry of Culture, is presenting the international music festival National Gallery, reads a press release by VivaCell-MTS.
 
The festival will last April 28 to May 21.

It is the 9th festival of musical compositions by talented performers and groups.

The festival is dedicated to the renowned musician, People’s Artist of the USSR Edvard Mirzoyan. Among the performers are Juliette Galstian (mezzo-soprano, Switzerland), Svetlana Navasardyan and Hayk Melikyan (piano, Armenia), Andrey Gorbachev (balalaika, Russia), the Edvard Mirzoyan quartet, Sara Ureña (flute, Spain) and others.

VivaCell-MTS has been sponsor of the festival since 2006.

All the initiatives aimed to unlock and develop talented young people’s potential can only be welcomed. The festival has become one of the most important events in Armenia’s cultural life, said Ralph Yirikian, VivaCell-MTS General Manager.
