Armenia-based Dorians rock band to perform in Copenhagen before Eurovision Song Contest 2013

The Armenia-based Dorians rock band, which is to represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, is to perform in Copenhagen a few days before the semi-finals.
 
The band’s concert in Denmark will take place with the sponsorship of Armenia’s Embassy in Denmark and Public TV of Armenia, band manager Ara Tadevosyan told journalists on Friday.

“This is a good occasion for the boys to perform at one of the best concert halls, Amarger Bio. It is designed for 1,600 viewers. Besides this being an opportunity for the boys to perform the song Lonely Planet, it is beneficial in terms of experience,” Tadevosyan said.

The brand has arranged the presence of the Russian delegation to Eurovision 2013 at the concert. Other representatives may be present as well.

Dorians’ performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 is scheduled for May 16.

A rock band will represent Armenia for the first time. He welcomes the choice of Lonely Planet, a song authored by Tony Iommi, an English guitarist and songwriter and founder member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath.

“He has spoken of our boys on several occasions. A few days before the semi-finals he will appeal to his fans for supporting the song. I think one of these days the Eurovision website is going to post his interview about his contacts with Dorians,” Tadevosyan said.

Gohar Gasparyan, head of the Armenian delegation, said that Armenian performers are now doing rehearsals.

Gor Sujyan (vocals) asks Armenian viewers for positive energy. “Musicians are, as a rule, either confused or inspired by a large audience. We are trying to view things from the latter aspect,” he said.
