Eurovision Song Contest 2013: Dorians band’s performance at excellent – Armenian singer

The Armenian singer Shushan Petrosyan believes the performance by the Dorians rock band at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the best of its performances.

“This is the best performance of all of our previous ones - both in terms of the song and performance. They were singing rock and feeling free,” she told Tert.am.

“Everything is criticized, but it was an excellent performance,” she said.

With respect to the band’s 18th place at the contest, Shushan Petrosyan said that the scores “are always doubtful.” “Some states had never given us a single score, but they have given us a couple of scores this time,” she said. It should not be taken too seriously. Moreover, Armenia should stop taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Armenian winger does not care about the Azerbaijani singer’s 2nd place. “I do not watch the contest to listen to every singer’s song. I watch Eurovision for the Armenian singers’ sake,” she said.

With respect to the Tashir 2013 award ceremony, when Sirusho was named the best female singer and Razmik Amyan the best male singer, Ms Petrosyan disagrees with the jury.

“I do not think that one can become the best singer by performing only one song, even the best one.”
