Nagorno Karabakh president attends opening of archaeological exhibition

Nagorno Karabakh president Bako Sahakyan participated on May 25 in a solemn ceremony of opening “The Land’s Memory. Artsakh” archaeological exhibition held in capital Stepanakert.

Central Information Department of the Office of the Karabakh president reports that Karabakh President considered important the carrying out archaeological excavations in Karabakh on a high professional level, adding that the process should also involve foreign experts and their results should be available to the public’s large circles. According to the President the implementation of such activities in our republic is important from scientific, cultural and political viewpoints.

Primate of the Karabakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, chairman of the National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials partook at the event.
