Montserrat Caballé gives master class in Yerevan (photos)

Concert of Montserrat Caballé, world famous Spanish operatic soprano, will take place on June 9 in Yerevan at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiarian.

Her daughter Montserrat Marti, renowned soprano, as well as mezzosoprano Agostina Smimmero, baritone Davit Babayants will perform with her.

Montserrat Caballé will perform with Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra.

On June 7, the world famous soprano gave master class in the hall of the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet with the participation of students of Yerevan State Conservatoire, artists of the Opera. Armenia’s Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan, spouse of Armenia’s PM Gohar Sargsyan were present at the event.

Montserrat Caballé listened to the performances of tens of young people and gave them advices. After the class the students confessed that they could not have imagined that they would meet with the world famous soprano.
