The Golden Apricot 10th Jubilee International Film Festival will be held with the sponsorship of foreign embassies in Armenia.
Art Director of the Golden Apricot Susanna Harutyunyan note that the German, US. French and Polish embassies in Armenia contributed to the program.
The French contribution to the festival features the presence of the renowned French singer and actor Charles Aznavour, and the film Shoot the Piano Player, starring Charles Aznavour as the titular pianist.
Un taxi pour Tobrouk by Denys de La Patellière and Ararat by Atom Yegoyan will be shown as well.
“A French film will open the festival and a French film will close it. France will be represented at a very high level,” Harutyunyan said.
The cultural attaché of the French embassy in Armenia said that the embassy will sponsor the participation of a number of French cultural figures - Serge Avedikian and others.
