Armenia-Azerbaijan-US trilateral meeting held. MFA

On August 10, marking the first anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit, a meeting was held in Washington between Vahan Kostanyan, Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States.

Vahan Kostanyan highly appreciated the personal contribution of US President Donald Trump both to the organization of last year’s summit and to the institutionalization of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan during the current year.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the positive developments already recorded, infrastructure projects in the region, and confidence-building measures.

The importance of addressing existing humanitarian issues was emphasized.
