High Fest-2009 continues the reception of applications

The High Fest Seventh International Performing Arts Festival continues the reception of the participants' applications.

The theatre companies willing to take part in the festival should submit applications by March 1. The Armenian theatre companies can submit their applications till July 15.

This year High Fest will take place in the period from October 1 to 10. Two programs are due to be held within the framework of the festival – the main one and the fringe. This year again the audience can attend the International Festival of Puppet and Children Performances, as well as Armenian International Student and Youth Festival "ARM FEST".

The first High Fest International Performing Arts Festival took place in 2003. After it Armenia was integrated into international theatre networks ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre of Children and Young People) and IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts).

As of 2006, HighFest is the major performing arts festival on the territory of the former USSR (except Russia).
