4-volume History of Armenian People ready for publication

A four-volume book of the History of the Armenian People is ready for publication, according to a press release by Armenia’s National Academy of Science (NAS).

At a session of the NAS leadership on Wednesday Ashot Melkonyan, the Head of the Institute of History at the NAS, presented the results of the comprehensive work, saying it is ready for publication.

The book incorporates the history of the Armenian people since the ancient times up to the present days, covering such issues as ethno-demography, national-liberation movements, the Armenian parties, etc.

The first volumes will be published this year.

The four-volume book is also planned to be briefly translated into Russian and English.

The book is a state-sponsored project involving more than 90 scientists from RA NAS, Matenadaran, Yerevan State University and Pedagogic University after Khachatur Abovyan.
