Mosfilm launches official channel on YouTube

The online version of Soviet movies will now be available on YouTube.

The prominent Russian film studio Mosfilm Wednesday signed a contract with Google Inc for launching its official channel on the video sharing website.

The full versions of the studio's popular films will be available on the channel. Starting from today, people can have an online access to several Russian movies, such as The Mirror, Mimino, The Cranes are Flying, The Circus and The Diamond Hand.

Mosfilm will upload five films on YouTube every week, according to the Russian news website Lenta.ru.

The authors of the project promise high quality movies. Subtitles in English will be available for foreign viewers.
