No need to dramatize Emmy’s defeat, says singer

A lot of countries have for many times failed to qualify for the final at the Eurovision Song Contest, and there is no need to dramatize Emmy’s failure, an Armenian singer has said.

Speaking to Tert.am Shushan Petrosyan said: “Emmy’s performance was very good … Everything was all right. But it happens! A lot of deserving participants have failed to qualify for the final”.

On Tuesday, Emmy, representing Armenia to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with her Boom-Boom, did not qualify for the final and was left out of the competition.

“There are nations that have not been able to take part in the final of that contest,” said Shushan Petrosyan.

According to her, there is no need to make a fuss about this issue. “It’s ridiculous!” she added.
