Erik to represent Armenia in Novaya Volna in Jurmala

Armenian singer Erik is representing Armenia at a popular song contest called Novaya Volna (New Wave) that kicks off in Latvia's city of Jurmala today.

Erik has said he is taking part in this contest to "learn a lot, to work with professionals" and to present Armenia decently. He is accompanied in this contest by a group of fan supporters.

The main events in Jurmala today are an opening gala concert when the state flags of all the participants will be brought on stage.

Further, the performing starts such as Goran Bregovic, Seal, will determine the order in which the 16 participants, who would have cleared their ways to the final, will perform on the third day of the contest.

Last year the Novaya Vonlna was won by Sona Shahgeldyan from Armenia. Shahgeldyan's performance can be watched below.
