Jayden Felder declared winner in 2011 Jurmala song contest

American singer Jayden Felder has become the winner of the Young Pop Singer Competition New Wave, held annually in Jurmala, Latvia, Korrespondent.net reported.

This year’s contest had brought together 16 singers from 14 world countries.

The participants competed for three nominations – Country Hit, World Hit, and Original Song.

The top winner will get €50,000. The singers winning the second and third places will be awarded €30,000 and €30,000, respectively.

The award ceremony is due later on Sunday.

The winner of the 2010 Jurmala contest was Armenian singer Sona Shahgeldyan.
