Catholicos II receives 37 pilgrims from Austria

Garegin II, His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received Sunday a group of 37 pilgrims from Austria headed by Father Edmund Muher.

According to a press release by the press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the goal of the visit of Austrian pilgrims was to get familiarized with Armenia's spiritual and cultural values.

During the meeting, Garegin II, answered to the questions by the pilgrims, mainly referring to the relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and the state, as well as to the ceremonial and ecumenical life of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Episcope Hovakim Manukyan, the Director of the Office of Inter-Church Relations at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, who also attended the meeting, spoke in detail about the relations of the Armenian Apostolic Church and its sister churches, especially the Catholic Church.

He also spoke about the existing cooperation between them in the social sector.

After the meeting the pilgrims participated in a liturgy service in Mother See.
