Lady Gaga wins MTV Europe Music Awards

Lady Gaga swept up at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday evening.

The singer won the awards for Best Female and Best Song and Best Video for Born This Way, The Telegraph repored.

The event, held in Belfast's Odyssey Arena, was described as a 'game changer' for Northern Ireland's capital. Andrew Irvine, the manager of Belfast city centre, said there was a "palpable sense this will change a world view of Belfast."

Among the stars performing on the night were Brian May, Lady Gaga, Coldplay and Jessie J Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, the host, also performed.

Nudity appeared to be a running theme at the ceremony. Lady Gaga mooned the crowd at one point before referring to the private parts of Mr David Hasselhoff.

Later, a naked man stormed the stage while the actress Hayden Panettiere presented an award in an apparent staged sketch.
