Gisane youth performing arts festival closes in Yerevan

Yerevan’s Pan-National Theatre hosted the closing ceremony of Gisane festival of performing art.

The last play was “My Heart is in the Highlands” by prominent American-Armenian writer William Saroyan.

The festival had started from November 10, with a total of 17 theatrical groups taking part in it – 14 from capital Yerevan and three from regions.

The youth festival was held through the assistance of Armenia’s ministries of Culture, Sports and Your Affairs, Armenian Youth Foundation, Yerevan’s State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography.

A professional jury handed awards to the winners in the following nominations – best actor/ actress, best director, best stage artist, best secondary role actor/actress, best performance, best sound and lighting design.
