Armenia’s education minister visits China

Armenia’s Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, who is a member of a delegation of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) on a visit to China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China, held a meeting with Chinese Vice-Minister of Education Hao Ping.
 
Mr Ping welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of developing bilateral scientific and cultural cooperation, exchanging experience, students and scholars.

Mr Ping stated that an Armenian language and culture center will soon be opened at one of the Chinese higher schools.

Minister Ahotyan expressed his gratitude for a warm reception and pointed out keen interest in the Chinese language in Armenia in recent years. More Armenian students want to continue education in China’s leading higher schools, and China’s contests for scholarship are evidence thereof. 

A high school with an advanced Chinese language course will open in Armenia. The sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
