Gyumri didn’t manage to honor Armenian actor

The city authorities of Gyumri were planning big celebrations for next week in honor of Azat Gasparyan, the famous and loved Armenian actor, who would turn 70 if alive.

The actor’s birthday is on August 13.

An employee of the Gyumri municipality told Tert.am, they ha d a plan to declare the actor an honorable resident of the city. The proposal would then be submitted to the municipal council for approval.

Gasparyan was declared an honorable resident of Yerevan in 2005.

The actor passed away on August 2. His funeral ceremony was held on Monday afternoon at the Gabrielyan Sundukyan National Academic Theatre of Yerevan.
