Armenian church turns into stable in Turkey (photos)

An Armenian church in Turkey’s Urfa province has completely turned into a stable, Hye Tert reported.

The construction, situated in the village Germush, was rebuilt by Armenians ten years ago, but it now serves as a cattle-shed, according to the local website Urfadabugun.com.

A trilingual signboard placed by the provincial authorities is intended to give visitors information about the building which, however, is very far from being considered a tourism site.

The village, which was originally populated by Armenians, is said to be of interest to treasure hunters who endlessly dig holes in search of riches.
