Adele music album becomes first to sell 3 million digital copies

She's still breaking records almost two years after her second album was released and the multi-platinum album has reached another milestone

21 - the Skyfall singer's second effort - was released in 2011, but it's still selling and has just reached a new milestone, reports The Mirror.

According to Yahoo! Music the record has just become the first album to sell 3 million digital copies.

Yes, that's 3 MILLION times the album been downloaded by fans all over the world.

Amazingly, this isn't even taking into consideration the physical copies bought which brings the total to an incredible 10,798,000.

Nielsen SoundScan is now said place it at Number 13 on the best-selling albums since 1991, with a further 40,000 copies coming from its vinyl release.

Work for her third album is reportedly underway - but it's yet to be confirmed whether she'll be showing off her "filthy" rapping style on future projects.
