Russian library opens in Armenia’s parliament

A library of Russian books has opened at the National Assembly of Armenia.

The library stock includes about 6,000 books, Russian classical literature, books on political science and so on.

Gurgen Dumanyan, Head of Staff, National Assembly of Armenia, told Tert.am that the opening of the library has nothing in common with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia or the country’s accession to the Customs Union.

“Armenian-Russian relations have always been friendly. The library has been opened on Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s initiative,” he said.
