Serj Tankian father’s song dedicated to Hrant Dink

US Armenian band vocalist Serj Tankian has shared a music video dedicated to Hrant Dink, the assassinated editor of the Turkish-Armenian weekly Agos.

The author of the idea, Jon Del Sesto, created the music video based on Tankian’s father’s album , Inchbes Moranank (How to Forget?).

“A good friend of ours Jon Del Sesto just made a video honoring the life of Hrant Dink for my Dad, Khatchadour Tankian's album, Inchbes Moranank.

“Hrant was a Turkish Armenian writer and editor assassinated in Turkey in 2007 after appearing in the documentary Screamers (with Soad) in which he was interviewed about Turkish denial of the Armenian Genocide and the case against him under the draconian Article 301 in Turkey.

“Recent ties to his killer weaves a very sordid web of collusion among certain nationalists and law enforcement personnel.

“To this day, Turkey has a horrible human rights record and one of the highest rates of incarceration of journalists in the world,” reads Tankian’s post on Facebook.
