Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr to perform at Grammys

The Grammys have added fuel to its planned weekend of celebrating Beatlemania by booking a performance from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

McCartney and Starr were slated to receive the Recording Academy’s lifetime achievement award on Saturday. And on Monday, the legacy of the Fab Four will be feted with a performance special.

“The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles,” will mark the Beatles’ first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

A reunited Eurythmics along with a host of talent in town for the Grammys will perform Beatles tunes for the special.

Other Grammy performers include Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke and Katy Perry. Sara Bareilles will sing with Carole King, this year’s recipient of the MusiCares Person of the Year award.

And Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell will perform together.
