Armenian musicians mourn Aram Gharabekyan's demise (video)

Conductor Aram Gharabekyan left us twice, the first time when he moved abroad and the second time when he passed from earthly life, Tigran Hekekyan, a professor at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, told Tert.am at the musician’s funeral ceremony.

Remembering Gharabekyan’s musical heritage, conductor Robert Melkonyan also expressed sorrow over his passing. “It is very regrettable that we lose Armenian cultural figures at such a thriving age. Aram Gharabekyan was among those artists who lived all his life without rest,” he noted.

Gharabekyan passed away unexpectedly in the United States on January 10. He was 58.
