Presentation of book ‘Clara Barton: Our Angel, Too’ takes place

U.S. Ambassador John Heffern and actress Varduhi Varderesyan held a presentation of the book ‘Clara Barton: Our Angel, Too’ for 40 children at Yerevan’s Khnko Aper library, on Friday.

They read out excerpts from the book for the children. The event is part of the Women's History Month.

Clara Barton was a nurse and worked as a teacher, patent clerk, and humanitarian. In 1881 she founded the American Red Cross. In the late 19th century, over 50,000 Armenians saved their lives thanks to her.

The book ‘Clara Barton: Our Angel, Too’ is based on Clara Barton’s biography.
