Nagorno-Karabakh president offers condolences on death of Konstantin Orbelyan

President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan sent a condolence letter to the family of Konstantine Orbelyan.

The telegram runs as follows:

“I have learnt with deep sorrow about the death of the renowned pianist, conductor and composer, People's Artist of the USSR Konstantine Orbelyan.

Through his numerous creations and performances the legend of Armenian bandstand and jazz fascinated the hearts of millions and substantially contributed to the development and spreading of national culture and musical art. The memoirs of warm meetings with the maestro and concerts he held in Artsakh will always remain in our memory.

On behalf of the Artsakh people, authorities and myself personally I express deepest condolences and support to family, relatives, friends and all the admirer of the deceased and wish them courage and tenacity in connection with this irretrievable loss”.
