Israel to host Armenian culture days

Days of Armenian culture will be organized in Israel from July 7 to 14 in the frameworks of bilateral interstate agreements and an invitation by Jerusalem’s minister of diaspora, Naftali Benett.

The program includes performances by national dance ensembles, concerts by Inga and Anush Arshakyan (in the Tel Aviv and Haifa), as well as the opening of a photo and embroidery exhibition featuring Armenia’s historical-cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture reports on its official website.

A delegation headed by Minister Hasmik Poghosyan will travel to the country for meetings with the speaker and members of the Israeli Knesset and different government and local self-government officials.

The Armenian officials are also scheduled to visit the Armenian patriarchate of Jerusalem to meet with representatives of the local Armenian community.
