First-ever periodical in Hemshin Armenian to be released

Hemshin Armenians are going to release a periodical in the Hemshin dialect of the Armenian language.

The new periodical will be entitled ‘Gor’ (which is translated from Hemshin Armenian as voluntary work).

The authors of the new periodical are calling to other people to join the voluntary work.

According to Democrat Haber, the group includes writers, researchers, journalists, musicians and students. The first issue of the semiannual periodical is expected to be released this September, with 90% of articles to be in Hemshin Armenian.

Armenians deported from Turkey in 1915 and currently living in Sevastopol and Gagry speak Hemshin Armenian.
