Vienne-based Gomidas Choir performs in Stepanakert

The Gomidas Choir based in Vienne, France, gave a concert at the Palace of Culture and Youth in Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on July 16, the Armenpress news agency reports.

The choir performed folk and sacred songs, including ones by Komitas.

“We are happy to have an opportunity to give a concert in Stepanakert. Artsakh is a wonderful country indeed. And I hope that the current problems will soon be resolved,” said Jean Berberian, conductor of the Gomidas Choir.

NKR Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghababyan, intellectuals and lovers of singing attended the concert.
