Robin Williams to be honored at Emmys

The tribute to Robin Williams at the 2014 Emmy Awardswill come from another comedy legend.

Billy Crystal, a long-time friend of Williams who co-starred with him in the 1997 film Fathers' Day, will lead a tribute to the late comedian at

Emmy, USA Today reports, citing the awards ceremony producer Don Mischer.

"We felt we needed to do something powerful and memorable. Billy seemed like the perfect choice," Mischer said.

The Emmys confirmed to USA TODAY that,"Billy Crystal will pay tribute to Robin Williams during the In Memoriam segment."
