Talent and quality constitute Armenia’s wealth – Marten Yorgantz

Marten Yorgantz, the French-Armenian singer and composer who recently participated in the Vagharshapat song and dance ensemble’s concert in Yerevan, is highly impressed by the festive event dedicated to the ensemble's 10^th anniversary.

At a news conference on Thursday, Yorgantz said he saw many talented children perform at the concert, adding that today’s high-quality sound and technical effects are very important for the singer

“There are very good singers in Armenia today. They sing very well and have good music videos. Armenia has made a considerable progress in that. We have mines without gold, but we have good singers and songs,” he added.

Yorgantz said he always notices something new in Armenia every time he visits the country.

“We have to think of serious things, leaving aside the dreams. We have to think of ways to promote the Armenian nation’s progress and development. And the songs singers sing are very important,” he added.

Anahit Madoyan, the ensemble’s founding director also attending the news conference, said the theatre, which was founded for charity purposes, carries out active work today especially in Diaspora communities. She said that the ensemble is now planning concerts in Europe and Canada.

“Marten Yorgantz is the favorite singer of kids; we all have grown up listening to his songs. And no matter how many years pass, whatever is loved has no time limits,” he added.
